Bye Toby, Hi Matt 14.06.03
Area 7 would like to announce with some regret that founding member Toby Dargaville is finally packing up his trumpet kitbag and moving to a warmer climate. Toby leaves the band on the best of terms, to start a new life as a restauranteur in Brisbane, and we wish him every success.
We are also happy to report that talented trumpeter and gymnast Matt Sanders, lately of Melbourne ska kids Slyboots, has stepped up to replace Toby, and has already put in a blistering set with the Sevens showing great promise for the future.
Toby fans in Queensland can come and check out his last hurrah when Area 7 hits town on the 27th and 28th of June, and everyone can get their first glimpse of Matt in action. We'll be doing a gig at the Beer Garden in Surfers followed by a headline slot at the Rapid Festival, Pine Rivers Showgrounds in Lawton - you'd be a fool to yourself and a burden to others if you miss it!
